Yesterday, Makenna watched a children's program where they were naming pieces of a drum set, and demonstrating what they sounded like. She watched this program once.
This morning, she pointed to the lamp and said "Mom, I want to play the cymbal!", and proceeded to pretend pay the "cymbal". As she's doing it, she says "this is a high hat, and this is a crash cymbal". She remembered what they were called!!!
Daddy thinks that this is a good reason to buy the kid a drum set. Mommy thinks that she will have just as impressive of a memory for a much quieter instrument.
