Daddy Van is back to work!

Derek had his 6 week check up with the Orthopedist (or is it Orthopaedist...I see it both ways, and this has always bugged me. But I digress....) yesterday. His x-rays showed that his foot is healing nicely, and that he can now downgrade (or would it be upgrade?? I'm sure Derek would call it an upgrade.) to a splint instead of the boot. The splint is less obtrusive and fits under his regular shoe, enabling him to have more mobility. This cleared him to start driving again! After more than 6 weeks of working mainly from home, he is very excited to get back to normal. Although we are very happy for him, the kids and I will kind of miss having him around during the day. Yay for Daddy!
