Blueberry picking

We went to The Blueberry Patch this morning to pick some yummy organic berries. They don't spray their berries, and they encourage you to eat as you pick. We had a great time, and I'm pretty sure the kids ate their weight in blueberries. Thankfully they don't weigh you before and after you enter the patch!

Owen with his bucket, which he ditched about 5 minutes in. He decided that the "stand at a low branch and just eat off the bush" approach was more his speed. Needless to say, no berries in his bucket.

Makenna was more of a "one for me, one for the bucket" kinda gal. She had a nice small layer in the bottom of her bucket when we were done.

Yummy!

Makenna with her friend Brennan. We ran into several people we knew at the patch.

We left the patch after about an hour and a half with about 3 lbs. of fresh berries. So, we'll be making muffins and bars, and still have plenty to eat. We might go back sometime in the next few weeks before the season is over.
