Van Assche family reunion

We gathered together on Saturday to celebrate Grandma and Grandpa V's birthdays. Unfortunately, one of the guests of honor was in the hospital and not able to join us! The morning of the party, Grandma Virginia fell and injured her hip. It was initially thought to be broken, but fortunately it was only dislocated. Regardless, she was missed, and it became just a get-together instead of a birthday party.

The good news is that this weekend, both of our children decided that they don't mind the water after all! We had a hard time even getting Makenna out of the pool. We ended up going back for another day of pool fun on Sunday. It was a great, relaxing weekend, and it was so nice to see everybody!
