The bug was bad

Makenna got a time out this afternoon because she was told three times not to mess with Owen who was sleeping in his car seat while I was putting groceries away. She walked herself (crying) over to the bottom step, which serves as her time out spot. After her 2 minutes had passed, I went back to remind her why she got her time out and to get an apology for not listening to me. She said sorry, and then looked at me in all seriousness and said, "mama, bugs in time out too". I looked down, and just as she had said, there was a spider laying on the bottom step. I had to giggle that she thought the spider had been sent to time out!!
