Makenna's preschool holiday party

This morning was the holiday party for Makenna's preschool class. Mimi came to sit with Owen so Mommy could give Makenna her full undivided attention. We both had a great time!

Doing the "spin around" song. You could tell this was one of their favorites!

Washing her hands before decorating her rice krispie treat

Spreading the icing

Her final concoction

Making reindeer mix: she had to scoop 10 scoops of oatmeal and add 5 dashes of glitter to a baggie. She can then sprinkle it on our lawn on Christmas Eve, and the glitter will sparkle and tell the reindeer where the food is. She is way excited to bait in Santa and his brood!

Shaving Santa Claus!

This is great!

Next, the kids sang a few songs they have been practicing. Both my mom and my mother-in-law asked me if it brought a tear to my eye. Nope, because it was so darned funny!
"...oh what fun it is to ride in a one horse open sleigh, HEY!"

"We wish you a Merry Christmas"

Makenna and Mommy

Opening her present from her teachers. She got the book "Clifford Helps Santa" and a bookmark.

What a great party!

Preschool looks like fun. Amazing how much you can do in just a morning at school. All the children look like they are enjoying their holiday party.
