the kids are in bed,
so mommy needs to blog
while its still in her head.
Makenna the Red-Nosed Reindeer
Makenna made "reindeer food" (aka oats with glitter sprinkled in) at her preschool holiday party. This was the poem that they put in the bag:
Sprinkle on the lawn at night
The moon will make it sparkle bright
Santa's reindeer fly and roam
This will guide them to your home
Cookies for Santa! (He has already enjoyed them...)
On the way up to bed tonight, Makenna stopped at the Nativity scene. She asked if we could sing a song to baby Jesus. We figured there was no song more fitting than Happy Birthday, so that's what we sang. I am so thankful that she understands that there is more to Christmas than Santa Claus.
